Black & Decker HPD18AK-2 18-Volt Cordless Drill allows users to take on all kinds of jobs around the house. It comes with 330 in./lbs of torque for quick results. Two spring-loaded batteries power the HPD18AK-2 cordless drill, and are easy to slide in and remove. Also featured is a metal chuck with a spindle lock to tighten drill bits and screw drivers quickly and easily. It provides zero to 350 RPM in high torque applications, and zero to 1,400 RPM in high-speed applications. The 32-position clutch represents precision and versatility, regardless of the woodworking, home improvement, or renovation project you tackle.

Black & Decker tools have a good reputation for being durable and made well, and the Black & Decker HPD18AK-2 is no different. The battery charge is excellent, as you could conceivably put together a deck only going through a couple charges. One customer noted:

The torque is impressive and is more than capable of completing just about every job around the house. One of the unique features of the HPD18AK-2 is the ability to adjust the torque for setting screws. The additional battery is an added bonus so you can keep working while the other is charging. This comes in handy when working on larger projects. The variable speed feature is also very effective. The 10 additional drill bits will be of use for most people as well and adds some value to this purchase.
Cons
- No LED Light
An LED light would be convenient for increased visibility, but not a deal breaker. Otherwise, there are not many complaints about this drill. There is nothing extraordinary about it, but it’s reliable and has good power.
This however is not the type of drill that you would use for tough applications, such as masonry. Nor would you use it for professional jobs on a consistent basis. But for what it is, which is a more powerful drill to be used for workout at home, it’s an effective drill and one that you should be satisfied with.
