For a compact drill, it’s a bit heavier than you would expect especially if you use for a good period of time. Also, lacking is a charge indicator to let you know that it’s charging and that’s done charging. Your best bet is just to plug it in the night before you use it. Also, another complaint is that the battery has to be charged while in the drill. So you won’t be able to charge another battery while working on a project.

This does plenty of work around the house. The 18V motor has all the torque I need for most jobs. And, as an added convenience, the batteries are interchangeable with batteries in other B&D tool suite, like their lawn trimmer. I haven’t needed the extra batteries and charger yet, but I’m sure some job will come up where they’re more than handy. My only complaint, a minor one, is that the charger doesn’t let you know when the battery is full. I know the extra indicator would have added a little to the cost, but would have been a big improvement.

It doesn’t provide too much torgue for basic home drilling needs; somewhat disappointed with this drill’s power. The carrying bag is nice. – David G. Kerr
